I thought I’d try something new this week, so I’m posting links to some of the articles I read on the blogosphere that had an impact on me in the past 7 days.
I’m an avid blog reader, but luckily for you I’ve filtered out the mountain of junk to find 5 posts really worth reading. Now all I need to do is find the time to comment on them all. Busy busy…
- Sociable plugin for WordPress has finally had an upgrade. Joost de Valk has taken over the plugin and made a few tweaks that’ll help the plugin keep up with WordPress 2.7.
- Ever the pessimist realist, Kim Woodbridge has posted a list of things that can go wrong with a WordPress upgrade. I’ve personally had no problems upgrading WordPress 2.7 so far, touch wood, but I’m sure my time will come.
- Entrepreneur Magazine have featured an article by Guy Kawasaki about growing a Twitter fan base. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve really started taking an interest in Twitter as a business tool, and I think that anyone serious about marketing their small business online needs to read this.
- Anita Campbell wrote a great post about upgrading a business on Small Business Trends. There’s no excuse for you not to try at least one of these ideas. I’ve singled out 3 I’m going to try and work on when I get a moment.
- Finally, my favourite blogger Naomi Dunford let James Chartrand loose on Ittybiz with the aptly titled “Recessions are for losers“. The post follows – or precedes (I’m not sure) Naomi and Havi Brooks’ recession call of Wednesday evening, which was a hoot. This is definitely worth a read if you’re nervous about the economy – and who isn’t?
That’s all for this week. I’ll no doubt be spending way too much time on Twitter this weekend. Why don’t you join me?

Hi Dave – Thanks for the mention. A pessimist is what an optimist calls a realist
I think I spend too much time in the WordPress forums where you only hear about things that aren’t working properly.
Now I’m off to check out some of these other articles.
