Recently I was asked by Brook Farm in Cuffley (that’s in England, a soggy, bankrupt little island off the coast of France) to redesign their website. I don’t often tackle design projects, but I figured I could improve the existing site. Here’s what it looked like before:
The client knew they wanted to update the look & feel of their site, make it a lot more user friendly and increase conversions. They also wanted to be able to edit their own content.
I set to work designing a clean, easy to use Thesis theme. Here’s what I came up with:
To try and improve conversions I included a Google Map and testimonials section right on the home page. And apparently it worked because conversions and traffic have both increased since the launch.
On inner pages the client wanted to focus on the content, so other than a Nextgen image gallery on each page, I left them to it.
Take a look at the live Brook Farm site and let me know what you think.
